Raw Access Logs are logs that are going to give you the most information about your sites visitor. These logs provide you with such things as; browser information, IP addresses, language formats, and other neat information.
To obtain your Raw Access Logs please do:
* Login to your cPanel
* Locate the section, called "Logs"
* Click on "Raw Access Logs"
* You now should find "Download Current HTTP Access Logs"
* Click on the "domain" that you want to download the logs for
* Download them to your computer
How to open your Raw Access Logs:
You will notice that these files are in a .gz format, which you won't be able to open, unless you have the correct software. We recommend that you use WinRar (which is provided by rarlab.com) for Windows users.
Once you have this application installed, you will be able to open the file that you downloaded earlier which should look something like this: accesslog_somesortaname.com_5_10_2008.gz
Once you've opened this file, you will need to extract the file; we suggest that you extract it to the desktop. Once this has been completed, for windows users, you may want to open the file with WordPad (comes free with ever copy of windows).
The result should be something that looks like this:
